Welcome to The Rose and Crown, a beautiful 15th century village inn.
A very traditional English pub open all year round, with cosy log fires in the winter and two pretty flower gardens for warmer weather.
Here you can enjoy good company, home-cooked food, quality wines and Harvey’s real ales in relaxed and pleasant surroundings. Our enticing menu offers a wide variety of dishes for every occasion, from a snack to a business lunch, to that very special evening meal or celebration. Our Sunday lunch is also very popular.
There are many lovely walks and places of interest nearby, e.g. Bateman’s, so why not extend your stay in our comfortable B&B and visit a few of them.

Full English Breakfast, Smoked Salmon & Eggs or just Morning Coffee & Croissants.

Our Lunch Menu is available Mon-Sat from 12.00 - 18.00
We serve great food, its home-cooked wherever possible, its local produce, wherever possible. The menu is full of Pub-Classics. Fish & Chips, Pies, Bangers & Mash, Vegetarian & Vegan options too. Our menu changes regularly, hence we dont display it here. Our chef is passionate and if its high quality, beautifully presented pub food that you desire, then The Rose & Crown is for you.
Dinner
Dinner is served from 18.00 - 21.00, 7 days a week. The dinner menu changes regularly, sometimes daily dependant upon availability. The dinner menu is a small selection of fresh produce items carefully created by our Head Chef. Please phone for tonight's menu.

Harvey’s Brewery is the oldest independent brewery in Sussex. A family business, and the brewery has been in the custodianship of John Harvey’s descendants since 1790, with five family members from the seventh and eighth generations working there today.
